THE LEGACY CONTINUED

Space Esse is the latest chapter in a legacy of construction and design excellence spanning three generations. Co-founded by Sharif Raiana Mahmud in the later part of 2019, Space Esse embodies a passion for architecture and development, that is deeply ingrained within the family. From iconic landmarks to the development of critical infrastructure, the Sharif Group, established by her grandfather Sharif Momtaz Uddin Ahmed, has made a lasting impact. Sharif Raiana Mahmud carries this legacy forward with a fresh perspective and commitment to innovative design.

Fariha Karim, the second co-founder, is a long practicing architect with more than 2 decades of experience under her belt, and countless contributions on projects ranging from small scale construction, to the design, planning and execution of multi-storied building complexes. Obtaining her degree from Ahsanullah University in 2005, she worked with the Sharif Group for quite some time before embarking on Space Esse.

Her professional background in architecture adds a solid foundation of expertise to Space Esse, ensuring that every project is approached with both creativity and technical precision. Together, they lead a team committed to transforming spaces into environments that are both functional and inspiring.

SPACE ESSE

Space Esse is a fresh startup company providing consultancy, supervision and construction services for spaces requiring architectural/interior design interventions, creations and solutions.

The company is one of the concerns of Sharif Group, which was established by Sharif Momtaz Uddin Ahmed in 1961. Sharif Group was able to successfully claim its reputation as one of the leading construction companies of Bangladesh, starting its glorious journey with its first child, ‘Beauty Engineers Corporation’ towards providing the country with some of the significant landmarks and buildings we recognise today, such as Dhaka New Market, Gulshan 2 Market, Kawran Bazar Market, Wari Market, Gulshan 1 Market, Banani Market, Gulshan 2 Circle, Mohakhali Bus Terminal and much more. The organization later expanded, establishing two more reputated construction firms named Panama Enterprise and Capital Enterprise who devoted their labour into developing Bangladesh, working directly with government authorities such as Dhaka City Corporation, Roads & Highways Department, LGED, PWD, designing and constructing various schools, colleges, mosques, roads, highways, bridges, bus terminals, dams etc, all over the city. Later, Sharif Mahmud Parvez, son of the founder, moved further onto the real estate sector of Bangladesh, with ‘Hallmark Developer Ltd.’ producing some exceptional residential apartments in some prime locations of Dhaka such as Baridhara, Banani, South Baridhara, Goran, Rampura, Uttara, etc.

With the intention of continuing to provide to the people with architectural aesthetics, Sharif Raiana Mahmud, granddaughter of Sharif Momtaz Uddin Ahmed is introducing Space Esse, with her talented team, striving and promising to add their share of expertise, passion and creativity into transforming your spaces for the better.
